Philon aus Alexandria undihn bekränze mit goldenem Kranzgemäß dem Gesetz wegen seiner Leistung undseines Wohlwollens gegenüber dem Volk der Athener;dass Mikalion und seine Nachkommenproxenoi und Wohltäterdes Volkes der Athener sein sollen und das Rechtzum Erwerb von Grund und Haus ihnen sein sollegemäß dem Gesetz: – Damit auch die anderenalle erkennen, dass das Volk diejenigen ehrt,die ihm Wohlwollen erzeigen,einen jeden nach dessen Wert: dassdiesen Beschluss aufzeichne der Sekretärdes Volkes auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelleauf der Akropolis; dass für die Aufzeichnung aufder Stele die Trittyarchenund der Prüfungsbeamte 30 Drachmen geben ausdem Dekret-Fonds desVolkes.
- - -- - -the Athenian People and presents himselfas ever eager to give individually to allwhatever each needs, for goodfortune, the People shall decide: to praiseMikalion son of Philon of Alexandriaand to crown him with a gold crownaccording to the law for his excellence andgood will towards the Athenian People;that Mikalion and his descendantsshall be proxenoi and benefactorsof the Athenian People; and they shall haveright of ownership of land and a houseaccording to the law, so that everyone else may knowthat the People honours thosedisplaying good will to it aseach deserves; and the secretary of the Peopleshall inscribe this decree on a stone steleand stand it on theacropolis; and for inscribing thestele the trittys leadersand the inspector shall give 30 drachmasfrom the People’s fund for expenditureon decrees.
